Binhi

Binhi is a friendly initiative of a group of local Philippine artists. In the slum of Banago these artists teach drawing and painting classes to children from the neighbourhood. Their goal was to keep the children off the streets by making art and theatre. Art as a means to learn to deal with problems in their daily lives. Now Binhi has a permanent building and every Saturday kids are excited and attend these classes in large numbers. In addition, they regularly exhibit their art. Among the children are also great talents, not only creatively but also academically. Anak Philippines supports Binhi in carrying out their programs. There are some Binhi kids who now participate in the scholarship program of  Anak Philippines.
